Workshops + Mentoring Partnerships
Never stop learning.
My journey as a photographer started nearly 10 years ago when I picked up my first DSLR and started shooting local concerts in the suburbs of Atlanta. I look back on those days and can’t help but smile but a lot has changed since then. In 2010, I moved to Chicago to open a photography studio and have since shot 100’s of clients, been published, landed my first cover, and even took photos of someone who wound up in federal prison (wooo!). Despite the change in scenery and the subject matter of my work, one thing remained constant: I never stopped trying to learn as much about photography as I possibly could. Between surrounding myself with likeminded photographers and taking my first photography workshop with one of my idols in the industry, there is no aspect of this industry I haven’t tried to familiarize myself with. Nowadays, I’m in a very fortunate situation that has allowed me to offer my photography as commissioned work and as a resource to other photographers looking to take their work to the next level.
Which leads me to my next point….
One of my favorite things about what I do is helping other photographers realize their artistic vision. While I’d love to fancy myself a ‘self-taught’ photographer, the reality is that the biggest jumps in my work were usually the byproduct of having attended a workshop or been given critical feedback from those whose work I admire and respect.
From beginners to seasoned professionals, I custom-tailor the curriculum to the needs of the student. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out – I’m here to help!
